Pull Back the Curtain Assessment
You built something real. But something feels off and you can't quite put your finger on it.
Maybe you're profitable but you have no idea by how much. Maybe you have a great team but you're still the one holding everything together. Maybe you're busy all the time but you feel like you're spinning your wheels instead of moving forward.
You don't need another podcast episode or another business book. You need someone to look at your actual practice with you and tell you what they see.
That's what the Pull Back the Curtain Assessment is for.
Choose Your TierWhat is it?
The Pull Back the Curtain Assessment is a deep dive into the current state of your practice. You complete a comprehensive assessment that covers every major area of your business. I review your responses and create a personalized written report with my specific observations and recommendations.
You walk away with a clear picture of where you are, what's working, what needs attention, and exactly what to focus on next.
No fluff. No generic advice. Just a real look at your real practice.
How Does It Work?
Â
Reflect.
You complete the Pull Back the Curtain Assessment, a comprehensive questionnaire that covers every key area of your practice including hiring, culture, marketing, therapist development, client intake and retention, revenue cycle management, finances, and investments.
Review.
I review your responses thoroughly. I look for patterns, gaps, strengths you may not be celebrating, and areas that need your attention. I bring my SIPP Model framework and my experience building and running a 30-clinician practice to every single assessment I review.Â
Recommend.
You receive a personalized written report with my specific recommendations for your practice. Depending on the tier you choose, you also receive either a personal video from me walking you through my findings or a one hour face to face session with me where we dig into everything together.

Will this help me?
The Pull Back the Curtain Assessment is for Therapist Entrepreneurs at every stage — whether you are running a solo practice or leading a group. Wherever you are in your journey, the SIPP Model gives you a framework to see your practice clearly and know exactly what to focus on next.
This is a great fit for you if:
- You are a solo practice owner who wants to see the big picture of where you are and where you are going
- You are running a group practice and something feels stuck but you are not sure what
- You are not sure what to focus on next and you want someone to help you prioritize
- You feel like you are reactive in how you run your business instead of strategic
- You are profitable but you do not really understand your numbers or have a plan for them
- You have a team but you are still holding everything together yourself
- You know something needs to change but you are not sure what
- You want an outside perspective from someone who has actually built and run a thriving practice
What we look at
The Pull Back the Curtain Assessment covers your entire practice through the lens of the SIPP Model.
The foundation — the four pillars:
S
Self-Leadership
How you are showing up as the leader of your practice. Whether parts of you are running the show. Whether you are leading from clarity or from anxiety.
I
Impact
The difference your practice makes. Your vision, your values, and how they show up in the work you do every day.
P
Process
How your practice actually runs. Your systems, your workflows, and whether things hold together without you doing everything yourself.
P
Profit
Your financial picture. Revenue, expenses, billing, and whether you have a plan for the money your practice is generating.
Inside the foundation — the ice cubes:
These are the granular pieces that live inside your practice and make it run day to day. The assessment looks at all eight.
Hiring
Who you are bringing into your practice, how you are finding them, how you are onboarding them, and whether your hiring process reflects the culture and values you are trying to build.
Culture
What it actually feels like to work at your practice. Whether your team feels valued, supported, and connected to something bigger than their caseload. Whether the culture you have is the one you intended to build.
Marketing
How people find you. Whether your messaging is clear, consistent, and speaking to the right people. Whether you have a strategy or whether you are just posting and hoping.
Therapist Development
How your clinicians are growing. Whether you are investing in their development, providing meaningful supervision, and creating a practice where good clinicians want to stay.
Client Intake and Retention
What happens from the moment a client reaches out to the moment they start care. Whether your intake process is smooth, responsive, and converting inquiries into clients. Whether clients are staying or leaving and why.
Revenue Cycle Management
How money moves through your practice. Your billing processes, your collections, your credentialing, and whether you have a clear picture of what is coming in and what is going out.
Finances
The bigger financial picture. Your profit and loss, your overhead, your understanding of your numbers, and whether you are making decisions based on data or based on gut feelings and hope.
Investments
What you are putting back into your practice and yourself. Professional development, technology, staffing, marketing spend, and whether the investments you are making are moving the needle.
The assessment looks at all of it. The foundation AND the ice cubes. Because you cannot really understand one without the other.
Meet Rachel
I'm Rachel Bentley, MA LPC, founder of Next Level Private Practice and CEO of COR Counseling, a 30-clinician LGBTQIA+ owned, affirming, and antiracist group practice in Michigan.
I built COR from the ground up. I know what it feels like to be flying by the seat of your pants, avoiding the numbers, holding everything together yourself, and wondering why it still feels so hard when things are objectively going well.
I also know what it feels like when it clicks. When you can look at your practice clearly, see exactly what needs attention, and lead from a place of confidence instead of anxiety.
That is what this assessment is designed to give you.
I review every single assessment personally. This is not outsourced. This is not automated. This is me, sitting with your responses and your practice, and telling you what I see.
